To give an opportunity to the Parent to share the stage with the baby.
To give an opportunity to the mother to be like a child and enjoy with the child.
If we see children of this age then the most prominent thing seen / observed is whatever children do / experience is through their senses. At this age that is the only medium for them to explore everything which they want to. So by this observation we can conclude that learning / experiencing through senses is very natural and easy for them.
So using this medium which is very much natural we give / expose to all the things which we want them to know about.
